I have a question alright the game planetside is an online game but is there also a game on the disks. Like Tiberian Sun or something like you play online and you can play on the disks.

Not exactly sure what your trying to say but I'll try to answer. You install planetside off of the discs. There is a small single player tutorial just to teach you the basics. Then you have to join one of the servers. When you join a server, you can go to VR training for further understanding, but this is on the server and not single player. So, its not a single player game, its completely multiplayer except for the small tutorial.

internet only. no bots, no offline peeps that you get to shoot. If you want to shoot a bot, shoot a Vanu on a server.

There is a small offline tutorial, like the one for EverQuest. Teaches you the basics, like how to move.

Then the rest you need to go online for. The genre for this type of game is Massively Multiplayer Online Game. Or MMOG for short, this means that in order to play the game as it was designed, you need to be online.
