I'm a 55 year old gamer that's been itching to play Planetside since the original came out. I can't remember the exact reason, I think that the software cost too much and I was knee-deep into a game called City of Heroes so I never purchased the original game.
Well CoH was killed (won't say died, NCSoft killed it, but that's another story for another time) around the time that Planetside 2 was going into open beta I guess, so I decided to give it a try. Not very user friendly although I love playing, there's a LOT of info to process. I've joined an outfit with a pretty good rep, and hopefully that will give me some much needed instruction and I can be an asset to the outfit and increase my enjoyment of the game by increasing my knowledge. |

If you're interested in guides and the like then either go to the New Player Questions forum or click the link in my signature. Hopefully you will find something useful there.
Welcome to PS2 and PSU!

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. I missed 'Nam by that ( - ) much. Think I turned 17 when they started pulling out. I was too young to understand all of the political implications but I think I had watched too many John Wayne movies because I really *wanted* to go.
Went into the service anyway right after I graduated. Graduated in May 1975, kicked it with my boys that summer, shipped out 25SEP75 and never looked back. |
