the rest of the video was just questions we already know the answers to (basic game mechanics, scale, etc)

too bad nobody asked about optimisation for pc though -_-



TL;DWatch
if you cant watch the video for some reason, the question was is there any plans to merge PC and PS4 servers, and the answer was no because sony has some thingy where they approve patches or something, so it would slow down the pc because of that.

If you don't know they do optimization in every single GU, we also got an answer concerning multithreading a week ago after the PS4 announcement.

damn, they want to let you play on both platforms with the same char? that´s very bad!

i really hope the ps4 version will have NO graphic options and will force the consoleros to always play on ultra with physics on.
this way, there might be a chance to keep multiplatform players playing on the pc servers, because visibility and situational awareness is totally aweful on ultra settings.

It's funny because I'm a total point and kill whore but I still play on ultra just because it is so much prettier. Night time is when ultra settings get really bad, every time it switches to night I consider switching settings, ultra makes night time so much harder - especially in an ESF. The NV scope change will probably get me to do it, I use the holo durring the day but on ultra that's not usable, the NV scope is mandatory. On normal settings night and day aren't really as different as night and day, non NV scopes are still viable.

What game made the competitive decision to make higher graphics settings a handicap anyway? Has any game tried to ever buck this precedent?

To me playing my same character on both PC and console servers was what I wanted to hear. I also hope that they allow us to play our characters on all servers and not just 1 PC server.
