Nah, that's not true bro. There are 4 other sites holding giveaways and they all end on different days(the earliest is Friday and PSU is by far the latest). Sporkfire hinted that they might go out as early as this week:

We haven't sent CD's out yet. They are pressed and heading to the packagers. If they do not go out this week, then next week for sure.

oh cool, thanx now my hopes have come back! and we don't even have to wait for open to start after we get our cd's, a message from the SOE ppl said that if you happen to get your cd's earlier than you're really supposed to, then you can just start playing in the exclusive right away, so that's good

what the hell??? they're shipping out CD's when hundreds of people still haven't gotten there emails??? this is beginning to aggervate me, my friends will all being play PS and I'll be playing Yahoo

There must be some reason they're using CDs...

I mean, wouldn't it be cheaper to just have all Beta participants download it? I know CDs aren't that expensive, but it seems like it would be a lot more work and worry than it should be worth.

Maybe they're testing out something we're not aware of and the Open Beta testerz get to be the guinea pigs.

And maybe cds as a test to see if problems putting the games on disks...

and, do you have any idea how much bandwidth costs would be for 3 gigs of files downloaded 1000's of times in a very very short period of time, i think it's cheaper to ship cd's
