So, what kind of mem am I looking for?

I'm not an expert at these things and, unfortunatly I'm not that rich either (yet ). But I was wondering, whats the best kind of mem I can get trading some performance for an affordable price?

Edit: oops, never mind, the only mem compatible with my motherboard is some outdated pc800 RD crap.

Edit #2: Alright so it isn't outdated, but it's damn expensive and it's all that's compatible with my board.

It all depends on what your motherboard can take. Currently PC2100/2700 from Crucial or Samsung goes for good prices. If you want the extra bit of oomph, go for the same kind of memory from Corsair.
