Really bad idea, yea i like how it stops infils, but now my squad can lets see... HART drop and take a base in the middle of searhus, INSTEAD
its empires fighting for one or 2 or 3 bases at a time. and with the only 2 or 3 bases availible, guess what? you have like 5 squads tryign to cap one base, which leads to teamkilling and yelling and frustration cause you want the cep and the hack, like shit i command and this will ruin it |

But really, just what do you think of the idea? You don't have to balance test it now, just whether or not you want just random attacks all over Auraxis or if you want to be able to control areas and not just bases.

I'm not going to vote till i have tested it... but I prefer defending, and prefer not to hop from base to unoccupied base like most squads like to do now.
If this produces huge epic battles i will like... but if some unseen side effects happen that increases drudgery, i will be dissappointed. I thought I would hate this game before i tried it.... I'm not very good at guessin the future.

I agree, there could be some nasty side effects from this.
It might force battles into a select few bases (though I don't really see how), or maybe it'll ruin an infiltrator's role (don't really see why it'd do that either). Those are just unlikely examples, but there could be some other unforeseen problems that comes up. Even then, I'm sure it will be dealt with. Overall, I can say I like the idea of the post-lattice PS better than the pre-lattice PS, however. |

Worse case, most dire situation possible, you don't have a single base anywhere at all, you would still have 3 bases you could hack. I would guess 15-30+ is a common range for base cap options (and it is really easy to adjust lattice lines to increase the number if this is a problem). And you can always "punch through" the matrix and attack anywhere.
