Blue is probably going to the best camo, that or yellow. Maybe you guys haven't played a lot of multi-evironment games but blue and yellow were always the hardest to spot on every envrionment, except on red rocks and cliffs, then red is obviously best. Same with forests, purple and green are going to match well in dence foilage.

Everyone always seems so caught up in camo and small silloettes. I've never found it to be much of a factor in a game where I am looking at a 2D screen. Fact of the matter is that motion catches the eye. No matter how small or how well camo'd you are, the moment you move someone can easily see you at max viewable range. The only time camo would be good in a game is if you matched your surroundings exactly. Never happens. Not even in the Tom Clancy games.

OK,
If anyone has read any of my posts, I'm as avid a NC as you'll see (that's not braindead) Anyway, it is obvious that Black is the universally best camo. Shadows and night time. Every thing else is blind loyalty. It works with everything. ***Now if you could just go prone......***

I refuse to vote. let me make a few things clear.
Here are some examples of the Terrain in PS http://planetside.stratics.com/conte...d/02052003.jpg http://planetside.stratics.com/conte...d/02042003.jpg http://planetside.stratics.com/conte...d/01302003.jpg now..unless your video card is complete crap..you are NOT going to have any trouble seeing a player no matter WHAT color they are. they would need to be wearing complete dark grey with no skin showing indoors..or bright neon green with no skin showing on the outside..in order to blend in with the background. plus you would have to be standing completely still. As you can see, each faction is a combination of 2 colors...their darker color is the newbie color..while the brighter color is the "high level" color. Now, newbies probably wont be able to do much damage from cover anyway cause they wont be certified in the right weapons to take advantage of it. while high level characters..I dont care if you are Bright Red, Bright Yellow, or Bright Teal.. you are still BRIGHT.. and you will probably be moving..you WILL be visible. The only way to hide will be with a stealth suit. or with a good amount of COVER....by cover im saying a big arse rock that you could barely peak over and fire..without hardly ANY of you showing. just because your TEAL doesnt mean you will be able to stand in a bush and disappear..and just because your YELLOW doesnt mean that you will be so dang visible that people are gonna shoot you from a mile away. I really wish people would put away this stupid arguement like "my factions colors are gonna allow me to blend into the background and own you so badly..and your factions colors are gonna be so bright that you wont be able to sneak up on anyone..nyah nyah nyah" GET OVER IT!..its a stupid arguement..EVERYONE WILL BE JUST AS VISIBLE TO THE ENEMY BECAUSE EVERYONE IS GOING TO BE BRIGHT FRICKING COLORS. that is all. |

teal actually blends with green well... teal is a mix of blue & green, so will 'blend' with grass a bit more easily then blue.. and red.. well red's gonna stand out like a blood stain on green grass...
so a teal dude sets up near bushes/trees and requires someone a -bit more- straining to see(which is the goal, isnt it?)... but.. still.. not 'invisible' camo either, they will be seen, just not as easily =) and i still think purple works wel in the dark, black moving blobs have always seemed to stand out, i -think- dark purple might work with shadows well to kind of make you look 'part' of the wall.. but w/o any good screen shots cant be sure.. depends on how lighting is.. i guess black might work best at night, but it's also harder to see enemy's at night |
