666th Devil Dogs

The 666th is reforming and reporting for duty in Planetside 2. If you have what it takes to contribute to a highly organized combined arms outfit, then report for duty in Beta. See you there soldier!

Is there an initiative to restart 666th Special Ops. "Devil Dogs" in PS2?

The 666th will be setting up in Beta and will be up and running in PS2.

I never saw you guys in full action back on Markov as I played on Emerald, but I'm hoping to sneak over to the west coast server a few times. Given the scale up of PS2 how many do you think you will be fielding at one time, 200+?

I suggest this time around that you don't give power to anyone else to kick people out of the outfit, pig.

It was abused the first time around. I got along great with you, but you don't have ego problems.

Your underlings, however, weren't quite up to the challenges of actually having to deal with human beings who were capable of independent thought.

The vox populi was definitely not the vox dei.

Maybe they just hated you, like the rest of us.

Yes GM should only ever be the one with boot powers.

Though you still run into problems...when your officers all ask why you kicked somebody, good thing about been GM is you can just say "I didn't like the cut of his jib" and be done with it.

EVILPIG - I was wondering something... You mentioned that towards the end of Planetside you've been focusing more on working with outfits outside the Devildogs. Is "Batallion 666" the result of that collaboration, or just a new (PS2?) name for the 666th Devildogs?

Pig has been around the block with a lot of good outfits and I'd imagine he's going to reboot 666, take what was good, and make it even better (and not let someone kick people like last time >:\)

what EP meant was that he spent more time on Ht's vent than the DD's TS and that while that was going on we also had a shitload of ppl from other shrunken outfits all running around together.

Well that's probably because DD was a hammer and Ht was a Scalpel

Read date of thread.

05-06-2003

I would imagine this name was the precursor.

Ya, I had even forgot that we were considering that name as this thread was started in Beta. We will be reforming in PS2. Plans are to Beta test first, then streamline our functions.

I am also going to be proposing an Alliance system which would link outfits. My proposal is for a Markov Alliance, but the name is just a proposal.

I guess since I just let it out, I'll make a thread about it.
