Beta crash

I keep crashing back to desktop after I click "PLAY" on the launch program. Is anyone else having this problem, and more importantly, anyone have an idea on how to fix it?

I'm having the same problem.

Fileplanet calls for 512mb ram for the installation. Does this mean 512mb system ram or 512mb available ram?

512 system, but the PS community generally agrees 768MB is the magic number for system RAM for Planetside to run smoothly.

I'm running in Beta with 256M RAM.

I had persistent CTD that went away after I selected "no preloading textures" from the advanced video options. You might want to give that and other changes a try.
