I have pondered for a long time about which is better. I have some questions about each craft's specifics
1. Maximum speed for each craft? 2. Usefulness against infantry? 3. Usefulness against armor? (Mosquitos) 4. Durability? 5. Maneuverability? 6. Easy to land? 7. Worth the certs? 8. Good for gaining exp? 9. Should a Squad Leader bother having flight certs? Thanx for any responses.

Reavers:
1.) Max standard speed is 105 KPH. Afterburner can get you into the 230 KPH zone. 2.) Useful against infantry individually in relative close range with 20mm, in groups rockets can kill large groups of them. 3.) Strafe runs on tanks with rockets, light vehicles with 20mm. Aircraft need to be dealt with delicately with 20mm (aka dont go faster than your prey, keep within a range so that most of your shots will hit.) 4.) Very durable. Infantry souldnt even try with assault rifles, takes a full Devastator clip to drop, bout 5 Strikers. 5.) Very manuerverable. Almost as much as the skeeter. can evade fire, zip through trees, and hug the ground with little incident. 6.)Easy to land. just stop, hold down C, and if its a valid point, just hold down C until you're planted. 7.) Well worth the certs. One of the few vehicles that actually causes fear in infantry, devastating if used right. 8.) Kind of a mixed bag. If you're descerning and part of a squad, Reavers can rack up tons of BEP. Going lone wolf and behind enemy lines will get you killed. Fast. 9.) Yes, get a flying cert. You can scout, soften up the enemy for your troops, and generate different strategy than if you were just a rank-and-file soldier.

A prefer the Mosquito slightly smaller seems a little more nimble. You don't have the same firepower but, you do have sensors. If you're travelling at or below 50% power you can spot hidden enemies and enemies beneath the ground and inside buildings if you're facing the building. This can be valuable in establishing if a base is secure or not since you can detect that lone Hacker who may be in the base you're about to leave.

Depends on the situation really.. i personally think the mosquito chaingun is much better at dealing with infantry than the reaver recoiless cannon. The reaver rockets are great, but if you spam infantry with rockets you'll spend more time reloading back at a tower than you will flying. Strafing runs with the skeeter can net you a kill per strafe and you are nearly invincible because you are in and out before AA can hit you.
For dogfights the mosquito owns the reaver hands down. The problem with the skeeter is when you want to deal with MAX, groups of infantry, and vehicles.. it just doesn't have the firepower that the reaver has. I personally have both certs. I use the reaver during very large battles and when my squad needs some anti tank support. I use the skeeter for dogfighting, scouting and small-mid size battles. |

Skeeter:
1. Max standard speed is about 175 KPH. Afterburner in in the 325 KPH area. 2. I can take an agile in 1 pass, a max if I stay there for a sec (not good idea) 3. Usefulness against armor? None, but VERY VERY VERY good vs other air, I can take several reavers and galaxies down b4 they even hurt me (2 reavers vs 1 skeeter is about fair if all are same skill piolit) 4. Durability? Moderate, it can take a couple good hits, but not quite as many as the reaver 5. Maneuverability? Extreme! You wont find anything more mobile than this thing, you can turn faster than missles lol, can out manover a reaver with its wings tied behind its landing gear 6. Easy to land? all air is easy to land so long as you have semi flat land 7. Worth the certs? Yes, this is my fav vech by far 8. Good for gaining exp? no, since its main role is Anti Air, you will find that most piolits bail jsut b4 you kill them so you dont get the exp pts (game design flaw, they need to change this) 9. Should a Squad Leader bother having flight certs? I find that it helps in huge battles (when I command over 10 people) but it depends on your style of command....

Way back in the day I saw the mosquito I immediately thought to myself "If I can hone my skill with that thing pwnage is defenite." Then I heard the Reaver was dominating and I thought to myself "Man the skeeters guns must be nerfed or the maneaverability must be on par with the Reavers." But after what I hear here I will definitely get the Skeeter cert before the reaver.
