well, I've seen tons of info on how folks plan on using full sized tanks, buggies, aircraft and various hand held weps in battle or as a specialization.

one thing I'm becoming more curious about is the Lightning solo tank and how you folks see it being best used.

direct troop assault?..altho mostly en masse Im sure.
mobile AA battery? (nice chainguns on those)
backup for advancing troops?
guard duty & combat patrols?

so..with that, lets hear what y'all gots t'say. the more I see those the more I'm starting to like them.

I read somewhere that a squad of lightnings would be effectve. It's probably a good recon vehicle, a fast small tank with a gun, that's perfect for recon.

nah, i wouldnt use it so much as recon as i would a movement-to-contatct mission, which is kinda a recon, but your expecting the enemy, so you go out more heavily armed

I think you'll see them out on patrol/intercept missions.

Let's say you and a few friends are at the base having a some R&R when a report of enemy troops comes in. You all hop into Lightinings and go meet the assualt before it has a chance to get to your base. That way you can take out their tanks so your forces at the base only have to deal with foot soldiers.

For assualting bases I think you'll be better off with the 2 man tank.

That and kamikaze missions. "OMG THERE'S A LIGHTNING TANK COMING RIGHT FOR US!!!"

A light tank won't last long in a Kamikaze mission against a base.

A lightning is a regular tank, it's just a regular light tank.

thx Zarp. worked it up dickin' around last night. the ani timing is still off but they always seem to run slower after they've been posted.

but yeah, it was meant to be a bit cryptic so you'd look at it long enough to see the firing sequence.

its still kinda rough but eh. it'll do.
