Got the game today, my honest comments on my experience so far....

Ok, game arrived in the mail at 8 a.m BST today, installed straight away and waited 20 minutes for patching, as I made my character I was already very excited, choose my server and off I went into Werner's TR Sanctary

I did the VR and though that the weapons were a bit weird, especially the punisher, if you don't crouch the bullets go all over the place, but I have grow to enjoy the weird (and kind of bad graphically) explosions

I met up with my other SDK friends and got into the outfit, I reached BR 5 with them in 3 hours, I now have the normal certs + Punisher, Galaxy and Harasser.

I love this game and I am beign trully honest it is awesome, people DO defend bases now as well, and eys it is a shame the bases all look the same but it doesn't bother me right now.

Now for the bad part, sicne this mornign every 10 - 15 minutes my PC will go into power saving mode and the speakers will make this screachign sound, other people tell me they get this too, is this what people call "lockups"? I have to reboot each tiem I get one and I get them quite frequently

So, all in all ignoring the obvious crashes ir lockups or whatever....PLANETSIDE RULES!

post like this are what make me want this game. It seems that almost ever post here is see is someone complaining about the lockup and what not. But when a person that just gets it says the lockups dont bother him then that makes me still believe that this will be one kick ass game.

I agree mate, I do see what people are complaining about but I wouldn't give it a second look, the game is new, stuff like this happens, they WILL eventually fix it.

Like I said I love EVERYTHING about this game except the crash thingie, that happens quite a bit but hey, all the other time I'm driving aroudn getting killed (yeah only killed 9 people in like 5 hours, kinda lame I know)

Get the game, join a great outfit (like the one I'm in) and the fun won't stop

I agree, the game is awesome. Also, I have been getting these 'lockups' as well. I have to end up unplugging my computer.

Yeah its pretty bad, there was a big update today, shame they didn't fix the lockups then...I hope they do it soon

I jsut came back from another lockup, but before it locked a friend of mine onlien said somethign that he did on the bios and he changed somethign to safe mode and he never got any more lockups, dunno what safe mode he is no about, it can;'t be windows safe mode cause I ain't doing that...

Wait, power save mode? If you have ANY power saving stuff on, turn it off.

Start>Settings>Control Panel>Power Options>Power Schemes and set all the drop-down option boxes to "never." See if that helps matters.

Check you bios (F2 usualy as the computer starts up) power saving options are generaly covered either in advanced settings or power saving. I used to have a similar problem with some of my old ass freeware games and this fixed it.

I doubtit was power saving stuff. IT would of affected the game play before the patch also. But it might be the fact that the game doesn't send the signal that the computer is "doing something" in relation to if its not "doing anything" it will go into power-save-mode.
