I am trying my hand at leading for a while. I started a character and got him to BR3 in VR and got AI and AV MAX certs so I could be combat effective at only BR3 (being a grunt takes longer then that, and you level slower as a leader). Then I realized that as a MAX I couldn't use the CUD. My question to all of you veteran SLs is am I going to need that? Do I need the CUD to access command channel or broadcasts? Is that see friendly and see enemy thing that usefull? Thanks in advance.

Cool, how usefull is the see friendly and see enemy ability anyways?
Also, what graphical additions to your armor do you get for the various Command Ranks? I know it has been posted before, but I searched and I couldn't find it. (Maybe there should be information about uniform changes, both BR and CR related, on the website, seeing as how we get this kinda question all the time *Wink Wink* *nudge nudge*) Thanks in advance.

The see all friendlies ability is alright I guess...I hardly ever use it but during those large-scale battles it's fun to see just how many your Empire is sporting. In answer to your question, at this point and time the CUD is pretty much a useless toy. See all enemies, the enemy CUD Jammer, and Orbital Strikes aren't even in the game yet, so there's not that big of a reason to carry one aside from looking like a Commander, I guess.
About armor changes. At CR1 and CR2 you gain shin-guards. At CR3 and CR4 you gain guantlets. And at CR5 you get this radio backpack looking thing....here's a screenshot for you.... http://www.planetside-universe.com/m...hp?img_id=1130 Hope I could be of some use. ghost |

Waypoints are easy. Once you get to CR1 you get an extra menu on your map screen called "COMMAND".
To set waypoints, go to the command menu and click "SET WAYPOINTS" Then you can left click the map to place up to 4 waypoints. To remove waypoints, ensure that you clicked SET WAYPOINTS and all you need to do is left click the waypoint again. Its that simple. Same as setting your personal waypoint. But with left mouse.
