?!?!?!?!?! Where the heck did you get that definition? A RPG doesn't have to have dice or chance nor be fantastical adventures. The definition of Role-Playing is exactly that, playing a role. Role-playing does NOT have anything to do with dice or chance, D&D yes but that's a fanstic medieval RPG not Role-playing itself. Role playing can range from D&D to simply acting out what would happen if 2 plumbers got together or even not so rated PG-13 stuff between you and your GF. Role-Playing <> Nerd with dice. As for RPing in PS i would love to but not many are into it. If i meet some peeps in game who play the part of a Lt from wherver and not some 20year old from New york then i might join-in. |

No, i wouldn't think you could talk with members of opposite factions...why talk when you can shoot? I'm thinking more about roleplaying with team mates. I don't like the word roleplaying. People have a tendency to assume nerdiness or DandD whenever that word comes up (i know this because i used to be one of the people that made that assumption)

yeah some people are seriously misguided, D&D isnt the only rpg, what about final fantasy, no dice there....
and i also have made that assumption before...... i also have played D&D (ahhhh curse the thought) and can honestly say its only as nerdy as the people playin it.... players with imagination are quite amussing (for instance i lit a donkey on fire and made him run into a huge orc, all on the spur of the moment) |
