To further clarify, some open beta testers do have access to the beta site and forums. However, there are some that have filled out the address confirmation but have not had the CD shipped to them. Those people are not yet able to access parts of the beta site but will be shortly, as soon as their CD is shipped. This may happen today, but I can't guarantee that.

Given the number of people here that have had access since friday and the relatively small number of people that were actually shipped on Friday, I would say this inference is unlikely.

Tried accessing Friday, was successful. Not sure if able to do so before then. No beta cd in mail so far. Don't get hopes up that it means your cd was one of the few mailed last week.

Yeah, at first I thought that's what he was saying (mostly based on a post on the beta board) but after reading it a while, that's making too much of a leap and in fact that's not what he's saying at all.

I had access to the forums over the weekend, then it went down this afternoon. Perhaps a glitch. Regardless, all open beta people should have their disks in a week. Then the real mayhem will begin!
