Can anyone tell me about the surge implant. What I really want to know is is it's effective enough to enable you avoiding fire while strafing.

GENERALY how quickly would your stamina run out if u had a personal shield and surge with Agile armour on

I'd appriciate it if someone could even tell me if surge was worth it or not

from wot ive heard from the ppl ive seen is that they have said that it was a great implant and certainly worth an implant slot.

Well and I also know the heavier ur armour is the more stamina it uses, the infiltrator wont use much stamina at all, while the heavier armours as MAX and prolly reinforced will use up a bit more stamina, ESPECIALLY MAX:es.

It's ok, people are starting to use it to circle strafe maxes while pumping them full of AP ammo. I took it once because I though 'cool I can get back to the fight faster' alas it takes a long time for it to reactivate and basically makes my idea for it useless so now i just stick with the regen implant.

This is a great implant, it's the first one I get, always. It uses a lot of stamina, yes, hoever, it's well worth it. Never tried it on agile, but stealth can run with it forever it seams =) Reinforced can run for about 20 seconds maybe a bit more. It's great for closing the distance between snipers, and yes, for strafing to dodge fire. Using it with shield though, you'll run out of stamina quickly =)

Also, note that you run much slower without stamina. So try and not let your stamina go to 0 as you will have to wait a second or two to get a point of stamina and be able to run full speed again.

My sniper character has Surge, and I've found it to be extremely helpful for displacing after you've taken a few people down.

That's exactly what I do as well Airlift. It doesn't take long for people to find out where they are being shot at from because of those lovely indicators. So I just turn it on and get the heck outta there.

Surge is so fun. Ok, as an Infiltrator, you can surge like nobody else. You move the same speed, but you can move fast for a long time (a minute and a half or two minutes).

However, using Surge on an Infiltrator is by far not its best use. I personally like being an uber-cheeser and grabbing a mini-chaingun in Agile or Reinforced and closing the gap very quickly (which is important for the mini-chaingun to be successful).

As for how long it can go in Agile and Reinforced, can't give you an exact time, but it's decent, and very much worth the implant slot.
