Character Wipe

Tuesday or Wenesday there will be a character wipe. Read news in launcher

sucks I really was starting to make progress with my template- and generally was having fun and kicking butt

but now i gotta start back over at 1!

and my setup isnt complete until 18 *sigh*

It's all good...and just think you get to do it all over again May 19th, too!

I'm actually kind of happy they are doing this again. I'd like my outfit to start at day 1 conditions and practice what we are going to do right off the bat. Great opportunity.

how were bases situated?

I personally don't think that it will make may 19th. but it's better to wait than to have to endure all the bugs that the beta testers put up with. trust me, theres nothing more annoying than seeing :10 on your capture timer and getting a CTD.

What do you mean, resetting the server is going to reset people's brains? It won't be 2000 newbs per server, it might be 20 [i]actual[i] newbs, and 1980 people per server who are just BR 1.

i mean 2000 people in light armor with surpressors running around joining squads in sact all at same time :P usually most people are off fighting, with like 20 in sact- 2000 in sanct with like 5 fighting when we logon i bet :P

The real question should be "Are we going to lose our grief points?"

After all, I worked hard getting those points. Why should I have to start over again. Waiting for some cloaker to run up to a target I am hosing with my rocklet launcher. Finding someone else to run in front of the supressing fire I am giving with my cycler. It is hard to find people to do stuff like that. Why make me start over again?

i dont see why you think there will be 2000 people w/ suppresors, i can leave the sanctuary with anything i want cept the heavy Assault right after i create my character. You can leave sanc w/ reinforced armour and med wpns certs, just visit all the terminals and go to shooting range and use all the weapons, free cert right off the bat

Well, good bye lvl 15. Atleast i know to get special assualt or AV early on.

If they are changing gameplay and exp gain, we dont really know how much we can get in the sanctuary. Who knows, maybe we actually have to work up to 4 and not just screw around looking at terminals and weapons. Also, if you want to get alot of exp again you can just kill your self and do it all over. I get atleast 300 exp per death for looking at the spawn tube, matrix panel, equip terminal and door lock every respawn lol.

Well in it's previous state you could get to BR3 before leaving sanc which means 6pts. Plenty to get you started, hopefully it will stay that way or increase.
