Ah man, thats some really 'not so good' ram. Non-name brand, so no telling what you really get.

This deal blows it away:
http://www.googlegear.com/jsp/Produc...ductCode=80059

512 PC2700 Corsair cas 2.5 for $51.00 with free 2nd day air. And googlegear is extremely reputable.

I am not 100% sure on Dell compatibility as they can be rather picky about ram sometimes. Usually high quality works well. But that stuff you picked out has no compatibility guarantee either.

I've also had good luck with Kingston in Dell's.

Mixing RAM

No. First you should try and find out if your motherboard even supports DDR RAM. The rule with RAM is try to match everything: Speed, type, even brand. Brand's not that important. Mixing differant speed RAM of the same time might work if you're not too drastic. But type is a must!

Yea, only a few older Athlon boards supported mixture of SDRAM and DDR. Also if you have only 2 slots, they are prolly both the same. You can look, if they are different colors maybe one of each. May be better off with new MB.
