Anyone else get this problem.

About 5 days ago I started having a problem where when near some large action if I try to reload, move things around in inventory, use terminal or hack, the particular action I am trying to perform pauses or locks up.

It's weird, because every thing around me appears to happen normally. So, it's not lag. At first I thought my mouse was having problems. I checked it out and nope it only happens in game.

I can shoot and move around no problem when in the middle of the action, but as soon as I try to perform some other action I get these pauses or lock ups. I've even had to completely shut down a few times and reboot to clear the thing.

I'm wondering if it is my lack of sufficient memory starting to show. I only have 256mb RAM and I'm hoping to at least add another 512 soon. The weird thing is it has only recently started happening. Never had this problem with Beta or before last weekend.

I submitted a bug report, but haven't heard from anyone.

If it is lag, then my question is why would I still be able to see everyone moving normally, sounds are fine, and I can move myself. It's only the particular action I am trying to perform that is paused.

As an example. I'm playing cloaker. I'm in a fight outside where I can watch everyone around me. I decide to arm a grenade and drop my REK. I bring up the inventory menu and try to switch the two items. For some reason they don't switch out. Or it takes awhile for it to happen. While I'm doing this i can still see everything happen around me normally. When I put the inventory menu away. I have no problems moving or shooting. However, if I try to reload, that action will sometimes pause or not happen at all.

I guess there could be multiple layers of lag. Where one action happens normally and another performed at the same time doesn't. I guess I should be thankful that the moving and shooting causes me no problem.

It's just frustrating that it started happening only recently.

Sounds like latency. Ask people around you if they are experiencing the same thing at the same time, if they are not, it might be your ISP.

My network goes through funky phases sometimes where i will get tons of latancy and have similar things happen like you do. It happens in all online games i have played, it's the nature of the beast.

I never got that but I still get lockups after todays patch and the old lockup patch and I still get the weird problem where my PC goes into power saving mode, all power saving options are off and it doesn't happen in any other game....sheesh, I think they won't fix it either, I mailed them about it like 6 days ago.
