I think macs are pretty cool.. I'd be using one if I didn't have any interest in..
1. gaming 2. troubleshooting 3. learning about computers 4. staying up to date with the market 5. hooking up with others on common ground 6. gaming 7. gaming So yeah.. I guess when I need to buy a computer for just working on, I'll be a mac. They're really good at what they do, it's just that they don't do what I want.

It's hardware sucks and not only do they control what hardware can be used the hardware tehy ahve(CPU speed specifcally) is sub par. They just recently started using DDR RAM and their default system lacks many standards like good speakers or a powerful video card. For gaming they are awful, simply put. Too many reasons but some were stated above. Macromedia stuff(flash for example) runs horribly on it. Many programs that are ported from PC to Mac are done badly and since there is far less software available then it's acceptable. The finder uses up too much fucking RAM FFS. Also, zapping the PRAM gets gay. I can't believe how much they put into demanding graphic stuff in OSX. The Doc for example is annoying and could be achieved better by icons and often is. Just some things wrong with it. BTW, XP has never crashed for me so don't say OSX is far more stable. They're both very stable. |

XP, not crash? LOL! I have an XP box for gaming. ( I don't pretend that macs are better for that) my XP box is noticably less stable than my mac OSX box. I think you are just in denial.

...no...
They're both very stable OSes. XP hasn't crashed for me and only programs have. If you say it's XP then on the mac D2 crashed once everyone 5 games and W3 ran badly. Whatever you're doing your hardware might not be keeping up with your 9999 apps open at once. I'll have TS, mIRC, outlook and IE open while playing PS and it won't create a problem for me so whatever you're doing must be insane. Are you trying to run BF and PS at the same time? |

I don't run two games at once, im not that stupid. Lets just drop this argument. I have said it before and I will say it again. I don't care what you think. I don't feal like pulling out all the facts and typing them up again. I have been in more arguments on this subject than you know. This world seems to hate mac loyalists.

I also PC loyalists. I hate both sides. They both bug me. Like people who are devoted to one political side it makes no sense and is basically someone who wants to attach themselves to a group to feel special.
Unluckily, there's more Mac loyalists than PC. |
