I remember when i was in HS and the crew i hung out with was all into pretending to be "hard" (i cant diss, i was trying too). Anyway, all we listened to was rap.
A girl friend (friend that was a girl) introduced me to trance music and i really liked it. I bought a "Trance Control" CD and played it alot in my car. One time i forgot it was in my civic and some buddies came over. We decided to go to the park and play some b-ball. Well... we piled in and i turned on the ignition and this techno/trance/club music was thumping on my system. I was mortified. They poked fun at me like "Man, were you rolling on E or something? This shit is wack! Throw this shit out!" Thats when i first realized i needed to stop putting so much thought into what other people think and listen to the music that i enjoy... not the music that has an "image". |

I listen to a lot of old disco/funk (funk mainly). John Mayer is awesome too.
At night, I listen to the local classical radio station. The music just makes you drift away. For a while I also would play "Sounds of Nature" to go to sleep to. I love the sound and fresh smell of rain.

There's this one Pavarotti song that I like and yes, Enya's Time will drive you to tears if heard under the right conditions, such as the 9/11 slideshow.

The gun katas. Through analysis of thousands of recorded gunfights, the Cleric has determined that the geometric distribution of antagonists in any gun battle is a statistically predictable element. The gun kata treats the gun as a total weapon, each fluid position representing a maximum kill zone, inflicting maximum damage on the maximum number of opponents while keeping the defender clear of the statistically traditional trajectories of return fire. By the rote mastery of this art, your firing efficiency will rise by no less than 120%. The difference of a 63% increase to lethal proficiency makes the master of the gun katas an adversary not to be taken lightly. |
