EMP and the CUD, a suggestion

I feel, in its current form the CUD is pretty bad, i much prefered the old cud whit right click selecability. Was so much faster to use and less cucumbersome and this brings me to my point in this post, using the EMP in the field on an active battlefield is to risky and cucumbersome. Beeing forced to stop to use the EMP in its present form whit the smal radius and Point Blank Area Of Effect (PBAOE) makes it way to hard to use to shut down vehicles unless you're in an INF suit.

My ideas to improve the EMP and make the presence of commanders felt abit more on the actual battlefield instead of just behind the scenes is:

Give the CUD a secondary function thats the EMP blast, basically so that all we need to do is to right click and select fire to blast the EMP, would make it much more efficient for shutting down the enemy vehicles.

Or (my prefered solution) make the EMP function like the thumper, give us the ability to lob a blue ball thats the EMP blast. Would help whit clearing mine fields and shutting down the vehicles.

Just some ideas to improve the EMP and the CUD. I for one hate the new CUD.. Would really like the option to use the old style CUD again.

(could anyone post this post on the official planetside discussion forum (not general) for me, i can't seem to do it... get blocked by anti spam)

As far as the recent command changes go, don't look a gift horse in the mouth. This is, honestly, a lot more than I ever expected us to get.

Admitted, the new menu is a little clumsy, but the CUD is actually worth carrying now for a purpose other than clicking it over and over to show what a k3wl commanda you are.

CUD has always been worth carrying simply for the scan for friendlies, and alittle cumsy? thats an understatement imo hehe

See all friendlies? Why? If you let me look at a continent map I can tell you where the zerg is without see all friendlies. Anyone who matters, I already know where they are. :P

I don't think the menu system is all that bad, really. It's not meant to be a "rush-into-combat and command" type thing but I had no problem doing EMPs and OSs just by using basic ground cover.
