Norton internet security 2003

i use the adremover and the popupkiller, not the firewalls and other things in it.

Best software i've seen for removing adds and popups from sites.

I use phoenix, err, I mean firebird. Yeah, firebird...

Faster then explorer, perfect pop-up blocker, works just fine for me.

avant browser, gives you all the features, and more, of firebird/phoenix (which i used for over a year before finding avant) and is based on IE so it has all the same support that IE does, unlike firebird, since it's based on netscape navigator.
since using firebird i had almost no popups
since using avant, i have had ZERO, except safe ones. like when i download from fileplanet, a popup window comes up with the download, but if you go to a pr0n site and it has 600000 popups, none of them show up, it works great (100% free too )
