I've noticed that all of the infiltrator suits have some sort of face mask so they can cloak the face... Except the TR. They just have a hole cut into thier speedos. So I was wonderin' wouldn't we be able to see their faces? I mean if there's nothing covering thier face than it shouldn't be cloaked. We should be seeing a bunch of floating faces with shimmiry stuff beneath them. Right?

LOL...yah. I never really thought about it, but if you think of the suit as only cloaking the area that it covers then, ya. I can see that. Well, it is only a game, so not everything is supposed to make sense. Heck, in real life, not everything makes sense either

And when I drive my prowler into a palm frond, it shouldn't do damage but go right through it. But it does damage, because apparently the trees on Auraxis are made of steel.
There's probably some magical reason why the face doesn't need to be covered either. Probably something to do with platoons that they'll tell us all about later, like in November...

You've got a point there, but it depends on the technology that the infiltrator suit supposedly uses for cloaking. It's just like in some fantasy worlds where there's rings of invisibility. You put it on, you're invisible (or in this case mostly). It's your whole body, not just the portion of your finger that the ring rests on.
And yeah this is a game, just like a movie not everything has to make a whole lot of sense |

Well, then all those pistols, knives, ACEs, REKs, and various other tools in their hands should be visible since technically the suit doesn't cover them. Then again, nothing says that a surface has to be covered by the suit in order to be cloaked... look at your friendly neighborhood AMS and then take a leap of faith! Surely that suit uses a similar technology to do its job.
Star Wars tanks, lawsuits, and floating faces... today is one special day. Come on people, it's a game! If you're willing to accept fictional respawn technology and vehicles that never run out of fuel, surely you can let this pass. |
