I tried this speed hack out, and its genuine, and if you turn the speed up all the way and equip the CUD, it counts down the OS timer at about 50x the normal rate, you can nuke about 5 times in the spanse of ten minutes.

I think it only increases the countdown speed shown, you still have to wait the appropriate length, like the HART timer or respawn timer, the bar reaches zero but you still wait till the time properly counts down.

I heard someone say this in one of the threads over ont he official boards.

P.S Conspiracy theory SOE introduced the cheats so all those 12 year old's over there would focus their efforts on the cheaters thereby allowing SOE to sneak some cool stuff in that would otherwise go along with 1 milion OMG TEH NERF & TEH SUX and all that crap.

I assure anyone that this is done in VR on the test server, the guy in the video was a random who happened to be on.

Sorry about the rough quality and editing, I used windows moview maker as I dont have premier yet and tbh I couldnt be bothered editing it or making it fit the entire screen.

Worryingly the program is just a simple slider you can select presets along it

so one second you could be normal speed etc. by the quick press of a button, then you can press another button to quadruple the speed and then outrun enemy tanks.

May explain the posts on the official board where one person sees a hacker moving really fast then another person asys hes moving fine. the presets through a simple key press can switch it on and off if you will

While using it you can't buy stuff from terminals, so you have to Alt+Tab and turn it off to buy gear. But still, its just plain lame. I guess SOE will find a way to stop it.

They had better, thats the entire principle behind paying per month, no cheaters.

thats the thing m8 you set up presets no alt+tabbing what so ever I didnt in my vid

you press one button for default = normal undetectable that you cheat and allows buying etc. everything is normal, once kitted up you press another button to set speed hack at previously set level and your off again, thats how easy it is and hard to detect unless using vid evidence. One person may see you using the hack, he sends a tell you press afore mentioned button revert to normal and next person sees you as perfectly normal and LAG is cried and thats that!

This is just the latest in a string of problems that makes me think that this game is a bit ahead of its time.

Try back in 3 years, maybe MMOFPSs will be worth it.

How common is this speedhack?? Anyone got any clues as to how likely you are to come across players using this system.

Also could outfits setup some specific pilots who fly MOSQUITO's a lot to be called upon when they encounter these twats?

Or is that just a dumb idea.

Lately its getting more and more common as morons post links to the hack. It is very simple to run which makes it even more common.

Very easy to get and use the program that gives the speedhack I see a lot of people uisng it for a week maybe then the devs will nail it down I like to hope

I know the devs have posted in the offical planetside forum that they are aware of the hack and are looking into it but its all a matter of time i guess. I am surprised that max speed setting is something that is client side determined

Excellent, i still believe a monitoring system should be implemented to find out where these cheaters live before they go... Then they can be lined up castrated and filled with 50 .50 caliber rounds... each
