Does it have to specifically state that its Dual DDR? Or is it the mobo that makes it all happen?

Its the MB chipset that does the dual channel. But the ram has to be really very similar if not Exactly matched. This means preferbly, the same brand ram and same model number.
Many of the bigger ram companies sell what they now called matched pairs, much like intel use to do for dual processors. This just means they took two off the line in the same batch, tested them some and packaged them together. Corsair has the TwinX stuff. On the AMD side its a little different than Intel's, b/c of Nforce2 chipset only having 3 memory slots. I use 1x512 XMS PC3500 and 2x256 XMS PC3500 and get dual channel that way. For Intel I am fairly sure you have to have two of the same amount and speed. You can prolly do dual channel with that 2 sticks of that ram with that MB just fine. If I were you though I'd get some of the newer 500+ mhz ram thats just now hitting the streets. Would let you OC the fsb up quite a bit more. |

you need to have 2, similar sicks same Speed and Latency(not absolutly required), diff sizes is OK but preformance suffers, get a mached pair set of 512 mb CL2 DDR400(or 433) and your set
