Hey I was planning on getting an IPOD this Christmas but I have some questions first.1) Do you have to use ITUNES to get music or can I still use Kazaa? 2)Can I put stuff from cds on to it? 3)How good is the quality? 4)Any comments or opinions you have would help thanks!

1) Any MP3 is fine
2) If you convert it to a MP3 first, there is plenty of 1-click free software to do this, just takes a little bit of time. 3) Quality is as good as the MP3s you give. Personally I think I have a pretty good ear, and I can not tell a 192K MP3 from a CD, but a 128K is easily distinguishable. 4) I dispise Apple, but the iPod is really fantastic... If I was not so jaded about buying one of the first MP3 players for $350 (64 meg flash ram...) then I might buy one aswell. Squick |

iPod is the only thing that you should get that's Mac-related.

I actually have a 15GB Ipod and i love it. The quality is awesome with the EQ settings , you can use music from any source as long as their .aac/.mp3/or .wav files, The battery life is about 10 hours from my experiences. Id reccomend it if you got alot of music. iTunes does own and it lets you directly rip cds to ipod. Once you put a CD in it says import click that and your ipod should synchronize when you plug it in once you set it up to synchronize.
