Part VII

As soon as Malone hit noob, I knew I had to do something. I quickly dove for Malone's legs, tripping him up. I scrambled up and punched his lights out.

"That's for the Cyssor crack asshat," I tell the now unconscious Malone.

"Well, that's settled," said KaozReign. "Now, how are we getting out of here?"

Eine quickly pulls his repair kit out and begins to tape Malone's hands and gags his mouth. "Can we contact Ivan? Meet him at another pre-determined rally point?"

I looked at Eine. "If we do that, those Vanguards sitting out there will know we're here. No comms in and no comms out once we're inside an enemy base."

"Well, one of us could sneak out and get him a transmission, right?"

"I suppose. Though splitting up our forces isn't the way we like to do things."

KaozReign turned to me and said, "Rules are meant to be broken Sentrosi. Eine, think you can go get a transmission out to Ivan?"

Eine's face beamed. "Yessir!" Eine stood straight up and gave Kaoz and myself a smart salute.

"Ok, " I said. "We need to get you out of here, those Vanguards are still outside."

Just then, the newbie pulls me aside, reaches inside his pack, and pulls out a jumpsuit. And not just any jumpsuit. It was blue and yellow with a small gash around the throat. This was the infiltrators uniform that Reign had killed as they snuck in on us.

"Brilliant noob! What made you think of bringing this along?"

"Well, I was going to put that in my locker back at base as sort of a trophy, but I think I'll be getting more of these with you guys anyway." The newbie smiled and handed me the suit.

"Ok Eine, you know how to operate one of these?" asked KaozReign.

"Yessir. Just like in training. I'm taking my commlink out of my helmet and fitting it inside the stealth suit."

"Ok Eine, get suited up. We'll take a good look at you before you leave. Suggest when you leave the Gen room that you remain uncloaked. The Generator Room door opening up with no one walking out may alert any guards they have posted. If anyone of them trys to communicate with you, just tap your helmet like you've got a commlink problem. Then continue walking outside the base and cloak yourself. You should still have access to the minimap inside that helmet. Bring up the base and walk outside the SOI. Make your transmission from here. I've got it marked on the minimap. Upload it now."

Our minimaps found the waypoint Reign had marked. It was located just outside Acan's SOI near the water. Ivan should already be there, but if he wasn't, then it was up to Eine to make the transmission. He was to call the Rapid Reaction Unit up and get an extraction team into Acan as soon as possible. It was decided that the three of us would find a place to hide inside the Generator Room and sit tight. Not exactly the best feeling in the world, but Reign and myself had been stuck in some stickier situations and were still here to talk about it. I was more concerned about the newbie.

We saw Eine walk to the door and open up. He looked to his right and tapped his communicator. Whoever was there seemed to take the bait. Eine cloaked and started toward the waypoint.

Now, it was up to him.
