However, they are using extreme search methods, which theoretically could be "cruel and unusual punishment."

The gun katas. Through analysis of thousands of recorded gunfights, the Cleric has determined that the geometric distribution of antagonists in any gun battle is a statistically predictable element. The gun kata treats the gun as a total weapon, each fluid position representing a maximum kill zone, inflicting maximum damage on the maximum number of opponents while keeping the defender clear of the statistically traditional trajectories of return fire. By the rote mastery of this art, your firing efficiency will rise by no less than 120%. The difference of a 63% increase to lethal proficiency makes the master of the gun katas an adversary not to be taken lightly. |

The industries tack on to the cost of CDs and video games because of piracy. That's right: the people who actually wind up buying the music and games are paying for the pirate copies, whether or not someone pirates them (in the case of a lot of new bands and many video games, who the hell would want to?).
Control the corrupt record producers, not the poor schmucks who want to listen to music they can't afford.

Actually, I knew this. Which is why I hardly ever buy anything new in the way of CD's and DVD's If I can get it previously viewed, and it's still as good as new, then why not? I'm paying significantly less for a slightly used copy then I am for a never been opened copy. I have no problem with used DVD's or CD's. It's not like clothing, where you don't really know where it's been. Most people take care of CD's and DVD's. Just a thought. |
