Core Combat is crap. I got to beta test it and even when it was free, it still wasnt worth my time. I'd stay away from it. But the main game has had some MAJOR changes, Server merge, LOTS of people now, recertifications, Lodestar and may other things. Definatly worth taking another look at.

It's not precisely worth the money. With the addition of Lattice Link Mod benefits, it does help to have CC if you want to buy CC stuff topside. Plus with Recertification, all 3 CC vehicles are bundled with regular vehicles, where previously, only 2 of them were (Being the Flail is now bundled with the empire tank.)
But in my honest opinion, is CC worth paying for? No, not really. I hardly ever use the AT weapons, and rarely use the AT vehicles. And I never go down into the core. HOWEVER, I'm getting the feeling that SOE is going to make a few changes that are going to make Core worth something, other than just Modules, which really aren't worth wasting my time over now. And if anyone steals Mods when I'm around, they can bloody well have them. Blow them up, or take them to your place, I don't care. Not even the pain mod is a burden anymore, thanks to SOE putting Mods into the main room. All you need to do is hack the base, and steal the Mod from the main room. |

i seem to have thought i deleted my planetside test folder after i stopped playing, so that i didn't have 2x the space being taken up on my hard drive, and not being used. but i think i deleted my regular one and left the test one, cuz it put me in the test server, and there's nobody there. so do you guys know what to do to change that back to the regular game, or would i need to reinstall the whole thing, which i really really don't want to do.

Don't jump on CC immediately. Right now, or at least, until the shifting warpgates go in and there's a reason to lock caverns, you won't be interested in the caverns themselves, so try out the weapons and vehicles in VR, because I guarentee that's all you'll be buying the EP for.

As of now, PS:CC probally isnt worth the money. Once this is added, not only do i think its the BEST thing for PS EVER, it will make PS:CC worth the money no doubt.
