I think ACT goes from 10ish which means you barely have the brain power to breath to 36. You will usually want to take it twice. I took it and got a 25, took it a second time and got a 32! The average score for 2002 was 20.8, but I'm sure it was similar to when I took it. About 1 in 8,300 students gets a 36.
Oh, and most colleges accept ACT scores in liu of placement tests, which can easily run you five hours of tests to find out if you are a retard and have to start with Math 002, or if you are going to start in Math 281. |

most southern colleges and universitys prefer ACT over SAT, that's why I took it.
It was easy, I am a pretty smart guy. I will take it 2 more times next year. (Usually you go up a few points each time you take it) The third time you take it, they take your scores from all 3 tests, pick out the highest in each category (reading, math, etc) and make a new score with those averages. (Usually raises your score even more.)

i'm like 95% positive that's what they do..
for EX: if you made: 30 on Eng 24 on Math 26 on Science 28 on Reading 27 Overall But then if you take it again and get 32 English 25 Math 27 Reading 24 Science 27 Overall then, the 3rd time, you did: 31 English 28 Reading 25 Math 29 Science 28 Overall They would take the highest scores from each section, e.g.: 32 English 28 Reading 29 Science 25 Math and give you an overall of 29 (28.5) see?
