Here's the situation. About two and a half weeks ago, my (now) ex-girlfriend initiated a breakup over a meaningless argument that was really just an excuse to break up. Over the last two weeks, her annoying, immature friends have been non-stop calling me and generally being annoying bitches. I obviously can't threaten to kill them, I don't know how well that'll go over. So I turn to you, fellow PSUers, I'm sure at least one of you has been in a situation like this.
Stuff you should know: Changing my phonenumber is not an option. My parents, particularly my father rely on the line for business calls. I'm not actively provoking conversation from them in any way. I ususally pick up, listen to their high-pitched screaming and then hang up. They refuse to leave messages. What I'm looking for: A- Some way to block a phone number. This is not an ideal solution because, being annoying teenage bitches, the ammount of phones they have access to probably equals the number of STDs they carry. B- Some way to effect their phonenumber or somesuch (phreaking). Something that will send a clear message. C- The proper course of legal action. This too, is far from ideal. I want this handled as small as possible. Thanks PSU.

Contact your local Law Enforcement and see what options you have. I'm pretty sure they can subpeona the phone company for your phone records and see who has been calling and when. And they can determine if that is harassment, you can then pursue legal action. That's what i'd do, call and see what options you have.

Good points guys, thank you. I'm gonna do that when my parents get home. Not to sound like a teenaged noob, but they know this is going on so I'll talk to them about it and I'm sure they'll agree.
If anyone else has any other ideas, by all means, bring them on.

The phone company will block numbers for you, if you can get the numbers they are calling you from
Also if you have dial--up on your comp I used to have a program that could dial a number at a time interval and play a message. I would have it dial someones number ever 15 minutes for 3-4 days. Mind you this is best to do from someone elses comp... b ut y'know.

Hey sweet! My services are needed.
I work for a phone company, CenturyTel. Here's the deal. A. The phone company should be able to provide a variety of blocking services for you. There is usually a feature that we call Selective Call Rejection. Your phone company should have a similar feature, but it may have a different name and cost. We charge $4.00 per month for ours and it allows you to block up to 12 numbers. If you know the number you can type it in yourself. If you don't, immediately after the call comes in you can punch in a command and it will block that number, whatever it was. B. Not really any way I know of that you can do that. C. What is going on is considered harassment. It is a police matter and you'd probably want to call them first. The phone company does help, we provide a call trace feature. With centurytel the command is *57. You should also write down the date and approximate time the call came in, the police can then trace it to get the number. In some areas the police will give you a case number and you should open a trap and trace on your phone line. This allows you to use the call trace feature for free for a limited amount of time. The phone company does normally charge per use as a call trace is really a bitch to do. It requires a lot of legal paperwork and is a general pain in the butt.

yea, call the phone company, or better yet, do this, if you have coller ID, get the numbers, then go to www.anywho.com type the number in, (reverse look up, and youll be able to find their address, tell them their address, and tell them that if they call again, something might happen
