i have a question. My friends internet is goin at 28.8kbps and mines 26.4kbps and he gets alot less lag than me. Is there anyway to lower lag? Any options i can edit or anything i can do? my very desprate. thanks for your time. Here are my Comp Specs:

AMD ATHLON 2200+ 1.8Ghz
512MB RAM
GeForce FX 5200 Ultra
100GB HDD
4095MB Pageing file Virtural Memory
56K at 26.4KBPS

What specs do you run PS at, and what computer maintenence do you perform?
You're Graphics Card is, to put it bluntly, shite, and planetside will strain it.

Also, you're Page file is set way too big it is actually hindering performence!

if its static it won't hurt performance. If its not then you run into the problem of windows resizing it, thats were the lag comes from.
yes that 5200 is the bottleneck on your system i supose.

i take it you guys are running 56k? i found that even with my new cable when i had my old comp it still laged very badly. (p4 1.3, 512 pc600 RDram, rady 7000 64mb)

ok . you said something about if its static or somethin. what you talkin about? i really need to know, im actually very good at game without lag, when i hit lag im screwed. so can u tell me what the static thingy is? and is 2000mb page file good? thanks

BTW: PS is runnin with graphics on low, with bandwidth on low
and i do do defragments.

you set the max and min page file to the same size, mine is set to 2k
