Steve Gibson was one of the first people to get hit with a DDOS. (Distributed Denial Of Service Attack) which used zombies (hosts that did not know they had a trojan on them) Well he went to the extent of tracking down who was doing it and wrote up a huge article on it: http://www.grc.com/dos/grcdos.htm It was actually because of that article that I switched focus to network security. |
