Hardware wise yea it would blow on an XBOX although we can dream because imagine having sum buddies over and going out killing smurfs into the wee hours of the night

In terms of hardware, the Xbox would probably play it about as well as the "recommended" PS specs. People forget that the PS2 does a fairly decent job with everything save load times and it's only a 300MHz processor. The consoles are built to run games ONLY. So even though the specs are tremendously low, the purpose-built nature of consoles means that the hardware performs at a level about twice that of a comparable PC, more if the game is done properly.
The problem (and reason why it will never be on the Xbox) would be that it would need to more then double the Dev team to adjust the code to the Xbox and then you have the added difficulties involved with making sure the patches were identical for two different systems. Let's be honest, the Devs have enough work trying to keep these single platform patches from being screwed up...let's not make things worse, m'kay? The updates themselves would cause problems as even though we like to complain that the devs don't do updates, they do a lot more than just about any console game out there (read: almost none). Xbox Live games only update content like maps, they don't do bug fixes or rework the code of the game that often. Controls would also be tricky as you go from having 104 keys plus two mouse buttons to six buttons and two triggers. Little difficult to map that in a usable fashion. |

Not a chance in hell.
Why? Quote from SpunkJackel
I also seriously doubt PS2 can handle the game. However, PS3 in the future may be able to. Since games on console's are more and more evolving towards online play, that would be my guess. |

Well it wouldn't be made on and Xbox that for sure, but i think they could Make a PS2 version that had compatible netcode that would let us play with PS2 users, ps2 and xbox are basicaly computers anyway(and if not ps2 the ps3 definently could, that things a damn super computer)
