Planetside capable comp.

I need a comp that can handle planetside for under $1000 bucks.
($999 is acceptable)

Any suggestions?

If you upgrade your current computer I'm sure you could do it for under $1000.

I can't. My dam Dell computer is a slim case design and regular size graphics cards dont fit in it.

hmm... for a new computer to run PS very well might get pretty expensive. Since you can't use your current case, and you probably need all new parts it will run you closer to 2000 depending on what you get. New graphics card, ram, cpu, mobo, case can very easily get expensive.

Hmm, you will probably have a pretty difficult time building an entirely new PC with only $1000 to spend. Especially one that will run Planetside well. You might be able to buy some major components now, and have it all up-to-date around the time Planetside comes out or a few months after (assuming you have a job.

hmmm... if it's the eMachines one you showed us before I guess you can go with it. It's just that eMachines haven't had the reputation of a power gaming rig. If you want to get it by all means don't let us stop you. We really haven't tried it out. Seemed decent enough but the fact that it was an eMachine was what gave us a little reason to be concerned.

Well, I have no problems with eMachines mainly because I have never owned one. Sometimes, if you don't have alot of money, you have to make sacrifices. If that's what you can afford and you think it will work for you, get it.

Do you have another link to the computer specs? I just want to look at them again. I don't remember them all.

You can definately build a great comp with 999 bucks. If you don't need little things like the moniter, mouse, speakers, keyboards etc. You probably can steal out your old cdrom drive. You can also upgrade somethings later, like you can go with the onboard sound, and get sb later.

also phade, something doesnt seem right about that mb.....
