They're not Spartans you ninnies. They're just ODST. I remember reading somewhere last year about there being Spartan-looking-guys with black armor. I suppose they could have changed the color a bit and that is what we end up with.

Actually if I'm not mistaken, you DO have to be a spartan to wear the armor..lest your body be crushed under the stress it would put on your body... Think I read something like that in the fall of reach book...

No, only the biomodified people wear the armor, its too heavy for normal people, I think.

The armor wouldn't do anything to you if you were just a normal guy. However, were you to move in the armor, you'd kick your own ass due to it's enhanced movement properties.

I didn't know it was deadly to normal people
the reason I knew they were spartans is because in the first strike Master Cheif finds some spartans and only Master Chief, Fred, Will, and Linda survived so it made sense that they would be in the movie. Linda they found in space though.

Kelly's alive too but Dr. Halsey took her on some unknown mission...we'll find out in Halo 2, hopefully .

Dhark, even if you never read books, read these books. The one by Dietz, the Flood is simply a recount of Halo except mentioning what the marines did and other smaller things...I thought it was good, but nothing compared to the Nylund ones, The Fall of Reach and First Strike. FoR was one of the best I've read.

If you guys want some predictions on what's to come in Halo 2, look at what some of these conspiracists (that even a word...) think and read some of these. I wouldn't be surprised if half of these people are right, as they have taken very close looks.

Although most of the Spartans did die on Reach. There weren't Spartans in the video, but there might be something about them in the game.

well, thats strange, because at the end of First Strike, there are 2 other spartins with master cheif, a 3rd died on the covinant command carrier, and Kelly was off with Dr. Halsy (person that created the spartain program), also, there was a second batch of spartains, i belive it was mentioned in the first book, fall of Reach. see, if you notice, in that 8 minuet trailer, the XO of the area says, "i requested back up, but i didnt think theyd send a spartain". that shows to you dudes, that there is more than one. im gonna have to read First Strike again when halo 2 comes out.
