A few questions plz help

I played planetside back in the summer of 03 and had to quit. Now im coming back and im wondering if i can still use my old account. I know my characters have been prolly wiped but im wondering if i can use the account I started with as long as I still have the key instead of buying the game over. Also SOE offers you to pay for core combat online and then you download it. If you ever had to reinstall planetside again would you have to repay for core combat again to redownload it for reinstall?

you can use your old account; the key is attatched to it, so don't worry about that. you won't have to buy a new game.
