A little assistance please

Hello all you helpful people out there.

You all regularly quote your FPS during play and I realise this is probably an ultranoob lack of knowledge that I am showing here but how do you find your FPS rates?

You could try shift+.

or

You can type in /stats

Yeah while playing, just hit shift, hold it and hit the +/= key. A little box will appear in the bottom left corner that displays your FPS, among other things such and your downstream and upstream pings.
