This had better not be what i think its going be. Today i went to a couple of sites, and you know what they said? Shipping planetside: APRIL 15, now i went to 2 sites. so they might be wrong, but if it isn't, it better not be like Condition Zero, TFC2, or Duke Nukem Forever, where they keep pushing it back again and again, which it probably wont be, but if your going to put a date, i dont mind if its changed once, but if they push it back again, then thats just stupid.

Well....only thing we can do is keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best. If it isn't ready to go, I would rather have it completed and looked over good before they rush it out the door!!

Have you ever planned a trip or a weekend getaway only to have all your plans crumble right before you? Well, sometimes shit just doesn't work out the way we would like it to! I will not be pissed and upset if it is pushed back...cuz I know they are busting their asses to make this one of the best games out there. It would be diff. if they were working on something else and left PS on the back burner, but this is not the case, trust me, I'm sure they want it out on their target date as much as we do!!

Personally, I have never heard of a MMO game only having a 2 month beta. It sounds as if the beta might only be announced at the next chat. That makes it less then 2 months, assuming the game is actually released in March. I am personally making the realistic guess that PS will be delayed to June, and we'll get an extended beta with all the bugs ironed out. On the other hand, Dave did say that they are currently 95% done. So who knows.

Remember its not a RPG so it may not require as much testing, and they have done a lot of in house testing too. If anything I think that it will still require balancing, but I have never heard of a multiplayer game that didn't require balancing and that can be done after release.

You guys are looking at beta as you know it with RPGs. In rpg's there's weapons and Item balance and currency and all kinds of hierarchal systems. In ps, theres two level up systems that aren't that cusstomizable, everyone uses the same weapons and vehicles. All they have to do with PS is balance damage, the ANT thing, and find map glitches. They've already got it balanced to what they think it will be on the internal - and external is just to check and make sure it's the right proportions. SO as long as the servers hold up, all they need to do is a couple of map fixes and proportion tweeks, the rotate the stress through each server and bingo you're done. You're not even looking at 3 weeks here.
