I like all Metallica albums, where's that option?
_ [rant]I'm glad they slammed those bastards. After getting ripped off for years by their own record label (old-schoolers know what I mean), they've got a right to be pissed about being ripped off. I don't care if it's fifty cents, fifty bucks, fifty thousand. Anyone who's ever been screwed over financially should be able to identify. Anyway, what the fuck do you care what their stance is on things? Their beliefs shouldn't interfere with their music- you cross gray lines into "fanboi-ism" when you allow that to become an issue. Case in point- Rage Against the Machine. Some of the things their frontman says really irritate the shit out of me. Some of the things their band did irritates the shit out of me- and then they go and cry when they get arrested for it. THAT irritates the shit out of me. But I like most of their music.[/rant] |

S&M hands down, as it takes all the great Metallica songs, and adds the Symphony and it's power to the music. Excluding S&M probably a tie between Load and the Black Album. The Black Album was the pinnacle of good 80s metal imo (Even if it was post-80s released) and Load is their best CD in the post-80s era. (Hero of the Day is easily one of their best songs ever imo)
