Merits Awarded by outfits

Since theyr already comming out with a merit system why not come out with a set of merits that the outfit leader/high ranks can award to the members?

Generally, I find that the Outfits that are into rewarding their members that way already have their own system, and don't want the Developers supplanting that. It would be pretty kewl to be able to create custom medals worn by players, that the OL could design by typing in a name, uploading an image, and picking a shape.

Yeah, I'm not so sure just how in-game awards would fit with our system. Still, some in-game award give by outfits would be interesting.

yea, but just dont display them on the characters themselves. unless the award is automatically tied to outfit points. because then all those noob outfits would just fill their new "commanding officers" with awards right off the bat.

It wouldnt be tied to the outfit points and who cares if the noob outfits do that, It wont give you any 1337 abillities, just for looks

I'd rather see custom outfit decals than custom medals.

I also agree that outfit awarded medals, unless tied to something in game, will be given out in some outfits like they mean nothing. And medals that mean nothing, suck.

My outfit has had a Battle Decorations program installed for at least four months, if not longer. We award ribbons, medals, and skill badges, and each has a certain Promotion Points value that members tally up in order to earn promotions. From what I understand of our brother outfits, others do much similar to the same thing. The developers already fucked a bunch of shit up. I don't think I want them making any more new content until the old and busted shit is fixed, and I can just imagine earning an award and having it go to some NC fucker (kinda like the backwards Empire Incentives glitch).

would be a good idea IMO. tie it in with the Merit Commendations (IE viewing a player's info ingame, seeing the awards from the outfit)
