I would have added those songs to my post, BUT, in his original post, he said he wanted rock songs. While the Beatles are categorically "rock", songs like "Eleanor Rigby", "Hard Days Night", "Hey Jude" and "Yesterday" don't have the rock feel to them... know whatta mean?

Collide, KMFDM for all your industrial Needs. The stuff from the ATTAK and WWIII album are better than most, in my opinion, mainly because it sounds more refined in technicals, production value, etc, but still retains a "wall of sound" feeling.
Bad Religion is good, every now and then. Try "Supersonic," "21st Century Digital Boy," "Infected" on for size. Vision's latest album, Watching The World Burn has some pretty good stuff on it. You can download a few of the songs from it over at www.cdnow.com And just for camp value, nothing beats Slayer's "Raining Blood" when youre in the mood for it. AFI's pretty damn good too. Incubus has some good stuff, but I prefer the later albums, however, thats my personal preference. Speaking of Incubus, Muse is, as mentioned, pretty good (as one reviewer stated "Muse = Radiohead + Piano + pissed offed-ness") some songs overangst, some songs overanger, but generally, its a fairly solid band. My personal favorites are "Time is Running out," "Butterflies and hurricanes" for the Piano solo, "Thoughts of a Dying Athiest" just because, and "Stockholm Syndrome" because its interesting. The Mars Volta is pretyt good, for, like Bad Religion, when youre in the mood for it. And for good measure, make sure you have the Holy Trinity of Rock on your iPod Queen - Dont Stop Me Now Rolling Stones - Sympathy For The Devil The Who - Boris The Spider And youll be set
