For the TR-Emerald

I'm not a "big" Prowler fan, but I like them well enough. They're easy targets, but their guns are pretty strong. I just wish more people drove them.

Prowlers work great in packs. They are the best pack hunters that the TR have right now. You get 3 or more together, communicating, and on the same page tactically, the Prowler is an awesome beast. One night us Dragonwolves took out over 50 Vanguards and lost only 4 Prowlers THE ENTIRE NIGHT. I am not sure if the NC were being idiots or what, but it can be done. We ran with, I believe 5 or 6 Prowlers, only manning the 100mm's, 2 Skyguards and a Lodestar. We split up in groups of 3 with the Skyguards running in the middle of our pack protecting the skies above while the Prowlers concentrated on the ground.

Tactics, suppressive and concentrated fire all prove valuable tactics for the TR. Unfortunately, we lack both Tactics and concentrated fire. Suppressive fire we are good at, unfortunately.

I love gunning for a Prowler, and, not to toot my own horn, am pretty good at it. But I guess so many people feel that it's so outclassed by the Mag and Van that it's hard to find a driver. But really, a good Prowler crew (with or without 15mms) can take down a Mag or Van solo anyday. The problem is that the NC and VS run so many tanks, and the TR run so few, that there's rarely ever a 1:1 ratio, thus reinforcing the perception that the Prowler sucks.

They suck because we hardly have any on the battlefield. We need to be rolling prowlers out like it's nobody's business.

I've given myself a new rule while playing. Drive atleast one prowler evey half hour of time I spend on planetside. I hope others on the TR will start doing the same. We need to encourage more people to drive them.

Eh, I'm not TR Emerald, but I do have a BR 19 TR on Markov that I played for many months. Prowlers are fun as hell to drive and gun, but indeed, the reason they tend to lose is because they're always outnumbered on the battlefield. Even the best Prowler team won't last long against multiple enemy MBTs. They actually make handy transport as well despite their slow speed because of the extra gunner seat. You can roll up to a base, blasting the turrets, and then hop out with a nice little 3-man squad, 1 agile and 2 Rexos.
