Thing is, since a lot of those superheroes are, what, 50+ years old, their copyrights might have worn out, or at the very least things like them without using the actual characters are "public domain icons"... if you build it, they come...

Hes still trying to derail a thread, this isnt about the validity of our legal system when compared to Europe. Its about marvel being a bunch of whiny losers who thing that CoH is acutally making profit off of the ability to look like spiderman or wolverien or whoever. Im only in BUSlaw 1 but even with my limited knowledge of precidents it looks like marvel aint gonna get shit, and probably get stuck with whatever court costs incurred.

The topic TB was never about the US legal system but rather about the sheer stupidity of Marvel comics sueing the pants off NC because of something rather idiotic.
