I was wonderring how a group of 20+ people would organize a raid or such against an enemy base and the communication methods used to do this. I can see the need for some sort of group chat, like DAoC, where many people can join at once and chat and give strategic information. I think the voice communication will be at the squad level, since 20+ people trying to talk at once in the heat of battle will result in a bunch of unintelligable crap coming out of your speakers. What do y'all think?

That's where having someone that is in the Real Life (ch)Air Force is gonna give some people the edge. I mean after putting some time in with the armed services he should know a thing or two about controlling large groups of people on the battlefield.
Then again, maybe he'll just scream at us..................... |

Yeah and you will get more full time commanders in PS then you got in DAOC.
Which means you dont have to fight, take care of your squad, watch your outfit channel , watch the alliance channel, watch the raid channel and take care of personal tells throughout the whole battle. Well if you chose to be a commander, watch your pulse |

EQ actually has a really nice chat system now. It's basically like a gigantic IRC, you can even chat with people on other servers if you really want to.
So I'm sure they'll have something good for PS. I think Verant has figured out that communication = good. |
