The official site has added another new Team Letter, this time from Shawn Lord, one of the newer Planetside Game Designers. Here is a snippet from that letter.
Prior to joining Sony Online Entertainment in 2000, I was involved in the skateboard industry. I have several friends in the industry and after serving in the 3rd US Infantry for several years, it seemed like a fun change of pace. As odd as the transition from skateboarding to game design may seem, I've found that building and operating a skateboard park was very similar to what I do now. Both jobs entail similar responsibilities: create compelling environments; bring people together; keep them entertained; provide the highest quality service possible; and learn from my customers!
