Planetside development started in 1999 under a different name. Halo was out 2 years before Planetside. Planetside armour is very similar to spartan armour and now with the introduction of regenerative sheilds it brings it more in line.

Whilst not personally a fan of battlefield or COD games i can stand back and say hey i can understand why 10 million + people are addicted to them and defend them passionately.

I know it's a WIP, but the proportions of these helmets look off for a human shaped head. One of the things I really dig about the TR stuff we've seen is how plausible it looks. I know the NC stuff is supposed to be bulkier, but imo, their armor should still follow the anatomical shapes of the human body.

Planetside has always seemed to take at least some amount of inspiration from Halo. Halo was the first game I thought of back when I first found out about PS1.

It's not like it's a ripoff, it just clearly takes some inspiration from Halo, among other sources. Nothing wrong with that.

That looks like it is a head analogue that they are modeling the helmet on top of, not a visor. If that's the case, the proportions are accurate.

Just picture some eyes and cheek bones in that big empty white space instead of looking at it like a visor.

2-3 years after Halo: Combat Evolved I think? It was in development long before Halo's release though.
