Someone smack me if this has been talked about before, but does PS1 players mean currently subscribed or just that you played at some point. I played from a month after release for about 7 years but havent had a sub for the past 2 years. Just wondering if I'm part of that PS1 players.

Good evening.

I just made this account to ask a question I am hoping someone can give a clear answer to. How is this "Veteran Beta invitation" going to pan out? Do you have to be a active subscriber to be guaranteed access to beta? I've had my Planetside account since 2005 and been in and out since; but I don't play any more like I used to due to various reasons, however I am now currently using my 45 days given by SOE to play. Too be Honest I won't be excited until I have my own beta key for myself and I think its retarded to pay money to get access to beta. Also, Personally I'm not too crazy that there are newbies attempting to get into PS1 just so they can get into beta. Higby apparently said there are no restrictions if you are/were a PlanetSide player you get a beta invite SO I hope that doesn't hurt anyone who actually is a veteran and doesn't get in due to a newbie taking his spot assuming Closed beta will have limited players.

But back to the pertaining question: Do I have to pay money to guarantee access to get into beta? I just don't trust SOE. And I apologize if what I wrote doesn't make sense, I'm am having trouble formulating my thoughts because I guess the anxiety is getting to me.

But yes, the impression we seem to have been given is that if you own a copy of ps1, then that account will get a beta invite to ps2

No restrictions there. if you are/were a PlanetSide player you get a beta invite, be sure your station acct email is accurate

That screen shot was taken in the March edition of PC Gamer so next month must be April right? The March edition has the Tribes beta key in it not the April edition.

there is a playtest in that magazine and it is already printed?
so the beta server is already up and running?
or did the pc-gamer guys played the game directly at soe?
