News: PC Gamer April Issue with Beta Key

Hmmmm, i'm wondering if entering a BETA from the magazine could harm your chances of getting in sooner, if you're already signed up with a Planetside 1 account?

I may be over-thinking this slightly.

Yea you probably are over thinking it - I wouldn't worry about it to much Plus you could always use different accounts.

Quick question:

Since the whole region split thing is going in effect, will the keys from PC Gamer be valid for Europe?

I doubt us from Europe will get a beta key because of the region split. the keys from Pc gamer will probably work but if they move our accounts over to this new company then you will lose beta access.

Just picked up the magazine at an airport right before I boarded! I was already running late and almost missed my flight but it was well worth it! A great article in there for sure. Nothing breathtakingly new but it has some new tid bits there for sure.

The biggest thing i saw was it briefly mentioning different missile locking systems in the game. It then lists, heat seeking, laser guided, and camera guided! Pretty sweet.

The article was definatly written to get people interested in the game and gives a great perspective on what sets it apart from the competition. There is no way you can read that and say " oh well that's just another HALO, MW3, Battlefeild, ect ect. the guy next to me on the plane noticed I was reading PC gamer and never heard of Planetside so I let him read the article and after he was done he said something along the lines of " that sounds incredible! I'll have to get a magazine so I am in the beta."

This sums it about up for me. The guy really did a great job on the article. Sounds like he really loved the original game.

Been a fan of PlanetSide since the first time I played the game back in ‘03’ and a loyal subscriber to ‘PC Gamer’ since ‘99’. That being said, I’ve been tracking PS2 from the very first rumor of a slight possibility that there could be a chance that after all these years, PlanetSide, the game we all love so much is finally receiving the attention it so rightly deserves.

Feburary 23rd 2012 PC Gamer's April Issue #225 arrives in mail. Contained within my subscribed April issue; page #29 bottom center “My PlanetSide2 Beta Key”, level of excitement...?? Just as high as the fist time I discovered PlanetSide.
